Try On The Neon

When the neon trend started last year, every fashionista got on board with it. Used as an accent or full-blown outfits, it was  everywhere. As with every fad, I thought it will last for only a season. But was I wrong. This Summer the neon is back bigger and better. Shoes, bags, clothes, nails and accessories – we can have it all. But for some girls, this trend is still a little scary and a lot of questions are asked – Is it too bright for every day?; Is it too young for me?; Can I wear it to the office?

With a few easy rules, you can make the neon work for you and enjoy it in and out from the office. If you never tried it before just use it as an accent or a detail to brighten an outfit. A piece of statement jewelry, belt, shoes or a bag can change the entire mood of a look. If you want to try a stronger look, pick a dress, jacket or pants and balance them down with metallic or neutral accessories. And of course for the brightest and boldest girls out there - go for it but never mix more then two pieces together. It's easy and works for every body just take the risk and have fun with it.

Gianvito Rossi – Part 1

Since his first introduction in 2006, Gianvito Rossi has become one of the most recognized shoe makers in the World. The stylish and original designs now has a solid following crowd of celebrities, fashionistas and editors from around the globe. The huge success is not a surprise. The art of making shoes runs in his DNA. Working for his father (the famous shoe designer Sergio Rossi) since the age of 17 has helped him to learn every step of the creative process. Now he is making  his own foot print on the fashion map. The combination of modern elegance, artistic aesthetics and Italian manufacturing traditions led him to the top. His motto is simple and strong, “BECAUSE A SHOE IS LIKE THE FRAME OF A BEAUTIFUL PAINTING IN WHICH THE MAIN SUBJECT IS THE WOMAN”. He pays equal attention to design, art and comfort to create the perfect shoe for every woman to enjoy. And of course women recognize that, he has very devoted fans. His designs can be seen in endless editorials and many celebrities like Sara Jessica Parker, Halle Berry, Gwenette Paltrow, Ciara, Cortney Cox and many, many more.I selected for you my favorite pieces from the spring/summer 2013 Collection.

The Button-Down Shirt – Not Just For Work Anymore!

A client recently asked me to help her revamp her wardrobe. The first thing I noticed was the endless number of button down shirts paired with work pants. When I asked her had she ever worn her shirts any other way, she just said “OF COURSE NOT, THEY ARE JUST FOR WORK”. Then I started thinking she is not the only girl out there that obeys  these  “RULES”.  And for me  to break the rules is always fun, so why not? I came up with three different ways of how to wear a simple striped shirt for many occasions in your busy stylish life. The first one is  a classic work look that I just spiced up with a new take on the red pump.

The second one is a stylish combination of textures and colors. I chose this lux leather skirt to make the look very polished and modern, added very bright accessories for a complete evening look. (If the skirt is too short or flirty you can opt for a white pencil skirt in fabric or leather).

The third look is an easy comfortable outfit that works for any girl going out for brunch with friends or having fun with the family.

Remember the button down shirt is not just for work any more, it is an important key piece in your wardrobe that
you can enjoy many different ways.

TIP- invest in the highest quality cotton shirt you can afford. The one I chose to show you is a great quality Banana Republic.
