What To Wear To An Outdoor Wedding

The invitation season has arrived and with the more RSVPs you send back, the more outfits you are going to need. In the next few weeks I will show you a few ideas on  how to create an outfit for various wedding scenarios.

The wedding guest dress code I follow is very simple and effective. My number one rule is to go classic with a trendy element; in this case I picked a classic fit&flare dress, the modern print and the mini length are the trendy elements. Think of a wedding as an extra special event and take this as an opportunity to dress up.  I always say that  the photos will live forever, so make sure you are not going to regret your choices. Don’t wear anything super sexy and revealing, keep it classy and elegant.  And last but not least is the consideration of the venue. The venue will be your starting point of what direction you need to go. You want to be remembered  for a stunning outfit and  not because you were wearing a full length gown to a beach celebration.

For an #outdoorwedding I  prefer  vibrant colors in light  prints or solids. Avoid sparkly and glittery dresses, keep them for evening affairs.   I like to go with  shorter lengths, because I have  options and can choose between  sandals or stilettos. The accessories have to be modern and complimentary, stay away from matching everything.

With all this in mind, you can have the perfect #weddingoutfit. Let me know what kind of a wedding you are attending.

Polka Dot Heels – Love and Love For Less

If you are looking to add some fun to a simple outfit, look no further. A pair of ultra chic and sexy polka dot heels will do exactly that. And you don’t even  have to feel bad about it, because as usual I think about all budgets. Just pick the one that’s right for you.

Mini Me – Statement Bags And Their Mini Versions

The mini bag trend started few years back and slowly  claimed it’s  current IT status. In the last six months we spotted minis on every major fashion event and fashion stars around the globe. Right now every important fashion brand has a mini version of their iconic statement bag. Now we can have big style statement in a very compact and sweet package. Take a look at my list below and let me know would you wear the original or the mini, for me the decision is way too hard.

Chanel Inspired Make Up For Less Than Ten Dollars

Have you ever wanted to try a makeup look you’ve  seen in a magazine, but didn’t want to spend a fortune on it? I have,  and  especially when I know this is not my “to go look”,  I prefer to find an alternative.

Today I am recreating a Chanel ad look with ultra black smokey eyes and very dark vampy lips. The lipstick alone is $36.00 and the combined look is over $200.00

So instead of spending all this money  I ran   to the closest drug store and found some pretty good substitutes for less then $10.00.

The most important things in this look are the eye shadow and the lipstick. You have to make sure not only the colors, but also the finishes are the same as the ones you want to replicate. I found very flat black shadow in the color 255D Panther and the exact same color and shine lipstick in the color 535D Black Orchid both from Wet n Wild and only 0.99 cents each. I also got #Wet_n_Wild press powder in the color 824B Light/Medium for only $2.99 and ELF pressed mineral  blush in 6322 Sweet Retreat for $5.00

The whole thing came just under $10.00

See the final result in the photo below and let me know what you think.

de GRISOGONO Party – A Night Of Gems, Cocktails And The Triple Crown

Last night de GRISOGONO GENEVE, one of the most prestigious jewelry brands  in the world, invited the NYC elite to a fabulous party in their Madison Avenue store. The guests had the chance to view their incredible collection of summer jewels and enjoyed the 146th Belmont Stakes Race, when for the first time in 37 years, the  horse American Pharoah  swept the Triple Crown races.

The list of over 100 guest included celebrities, socialites and fashionistas. They  sipped cocktails and were treated to Hors D’Oeuvres catered by Swifty’s Events.
